A Flapper Fairytale
Today we feature Kasey as she shares the romantic details of her glamorous wedding day. Tucked away past a beaten rural path, we travel to an intimate and roaring Gatsby-inspired affair.
Kasey knew she had found her dress the moment she laid her eyes on it. Adorned with lavish beadwork and faux leather braided detail, Style #B075 from our Diana Collection mixes sorbet and rose gold in a stunning ball gown silhouette trimmed with horsehair. Fitting for an old-Hollywood princess, the sheer illusion detail gives depth to the classic sweetheart neckline as the back of the gown is finished off with a line of pearl buttons.
To have each of her girls stand out, Kasey had each bridesmaid wear her own version of old-Hollywood glam while keeping their colors in within the palette of her wedding. White fur wraps were added to create a luxurious and uniform finished look. Meanwhile, the groomsmen sported classic black tuxedos to match their stunning starlets.
Instead of traditional bouquets, each bridesmaid also carried a lantern, giving the ceremony a dreamy ambiance as they walked down the aisle.
True to the spirit of classic romance, Gabriel proposed to Kasey on Saint Valentine's Day. "We went to dinner and I came home to rose petals and candles throughout our home while our friend was hidden taking pictures and video. With shaking hands, he read out why he loved me and got on one knee. I cried the entire time!" Kasey sweetly admitted.
The couple tied the knot a year after, becoming man and wife on February 6, 2016.
Kasey and Gabriel wrote their own wedding vows, keeping their words of adoration secret until the day of their wedding. In tribute to their shared love for all things Harry Potter, the ceremony was ended with the officiant asking the question: "After all this time?" and the newlyweds answering together: "Always."
Kasey's advice to future brides is simple--
"DonΓÇÖt sweat the small stuff. No one notices the little details that you agonize over for days! Just try to stay calm, all that matters is each other!" Even with all the glitz and glamor, Kasey kept her loving eyes on her new life partner throughout the celebrations of the evening.
